Fancy soaking up some more sunshine in early December? Valencia is the perfect destination for this. Whilst it’s already getting cold in Switzerland, the Spanish Mediterranean coast often offers pleasant temperatures of around 15 degrees – ideal for exploring the city at a leisurely pace.
Stroll through the winding alleys of the old town, visit the famous Mercado Central or marvel at the futuristic architecture of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. A walk along the beach or a cycle ride through the sprawling Turia Park is also well worth it. In early December, the festive spirit also begins to take hold: the streets are decked out in festive decorations and the first Christmas markets invite you to have a browse.
